The Palm Beaches Student Showcase of Films moves into its 27th year with a familiar face as a celebrity judge.
Entries are being accepted now for the statewide competition, open to all high school and college students in Florida.
Go online to see all the categories and rules. It runs through the end of January next year so hurry.
My good friend Vanilla Ice is one of the judges. He will present the Vanilla Ice Music Video award.
“Vanilla Ice is a wonderful friend of ours not only for the Film and Televison Commission but for our students,” said Deputy Film Commissioner Michelle Hillery of the Palm Beach County Film and Television Commission. “He has been amazing over the years. every year he comes out and present the Vanilla Ice music video award winner each and every year, we named that award after him a few years ago becuase of his dedication and commitment to the Student Showcase of Films.
I caught up with Vanilla Ice last weekend as he performed at Winterfest 2021 in Wellington, a concert to benefit Little Smiles.
