A new mental health facility celebrated its move to Palm Springs with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Thursday.
VIP Integrative Healthcare opened at a new location on Forest Hill Boulevard with a host of dignitaries.
The center offers a wide array of services for mental health.
One mission is to take down roadblocks to mental health, which in some communities involves witchcraft.
“There are some myths about mental health that it’s witchcraft, if someone goes into psychosis or they have certain issues that it’s automatically something taboo but we’re here we have treatment and came to help dispel that myth,” said Dr. Martine Senatus
“It’s been very difficult trying to let them know and understand the difference between what they think is witchcraft versus what the reality is because people do have mental issues,” said Carline Paul with the Haitian American Youth of Tomorrow.
